Display disappears or flickers while riding (with video!)
« on: March 26, 2018, 10:50:54 PM »

Hi,

any ideas, where to look for the error?

When I drive it is vice versa: It flickers or disappears a bit (but not always reproducible) depending on the gas position,
but if I go to "no gas" it disappears (but only in Eco or Sport mode).
Riding is totally normal and the blue background light does NOT disappear (drove through a tunnel).

I had that one day already last summer, when it was hot and the machine was in a lot of sunlight. But today its cloudy and 8°C/47°F).

Greetings,
Uwe

make sure all your connections are properly seated.

disconnect them all and reconnect them firmly.

If that does not fix it, it is possible one of the internal connectors is loose. You *can* open the dash up and seat the connectors properly but |*should* make sure to re seal the dash to protect from water.

Maybe also check (relatedly) whether cables are pinched or caught in the area between the frame and the display.

I cannot figure out a reason it would fail for a non-physical reason but at least check the logs for anything odd.
