That was seven years ago. I think micro turbines have significant disadvantages for use in transportation. My understanding is that they work best in steady state, which might work as a range extender on a BEV vehicle, but I think startup time is long, the turbine is inefficient until up to temp, and they’re not nearly as compact as other solutions. I think micro turbines have had some success In stationary applications because they can be configured to burn different fuels.

Seems that it never got anywhere... Also I'm personally not that fancy with sitting on a 90.000 rpm turbine.
