Belt drive on 2010 Zero DS
« on: October 18, 2017, 12:09:07 AM »

Here is an advanced mod I made on my 2010 Zero DS - belt drive! It is based on the specs of the 2011 model - belt is 200 teeth, 8mm pitch, 14mm wide, and the sprockets are 98/28 teeth (custom made).

@igorbaldo Any chance you have a source for this belt? I'm doing the same mod but having trouble sourcing the belts in 14mm width. Thanks!

It is not pre-cut. The company I got it from has it cut in any width they need, but I don't know where (I think it's an official Gates distributor). If you live in the U.S., it might not be difficult to find such a distributor.

I ordered replacement belts for my 2011 S from a place in Austin, Texas called AF1. Either call them or order it on their website. I think the belts were $50. Shipping cost was high, but was the same whether you bought 1 belt or 2, so I bought 2.
