Zero FX lost tail cohesion.
« on: October 02, 2017, 04:14:36 PM »

I went a nice day offroading on a closed circuit and found out what the returning rattling noise was in my tail section.

My FX came with the trunk carrier attachement. This is only has a rubber flap between it and the rear mud guard/tail section. And i had nocited that this rattled a lot. So i thought it would be smart to tighten both together. I locked the top plastic part to the lugage carrier. Unfortunatly the bottom plastic part if only connected with a few screws to the top part and that bottom part is the heaviest piece with all the lights being attached to that. So...

When riding offroad the bottom plastic part worked it's way loose and i started to notice the rattling again. I wasn't able to find it because it required a lot of power to move from one another. But sure enough as it became looser and looser i finnally found the cause.

So when you have the lugage carrier option, DO NOT make a solid connection to the plastic tail end.
