As far as i know the topspeed is governed to keep the rpm of the motor down, to avoid it disintegrate due to centrifugal forces. Probably leaving a safefy margin of xx%.
To go faster you need to change the gearing ratio. Which aint done in a whiff. Charging the gearing ratio means drawing more amps at a lover voldtage to do the same speed, meaning that more heat is generated in the controller and the windings in the motor, leading to temperature warnings and probably power cut back.

Thank you very much.
I am new and I do not yet master the electrical technology. Also, I do not speak good English. If I understood correctly, I could extend my transmission with the option Higher Speed Gearing Option to have a higher speed. But I have a model 2017. I can install it anyway?
I have two other questions:
- Can I use the link bluethooth of my zero s to enter the parameters of the controller or MSS or BMS?
-How to have more torque and more power?
Thank you for your valuable advice

Do you have the 2017 Zero S or SR?
Hopefully if speed is something that is important to you, you got the SR to start with as it will deliver more power

I don't think a higher speed gearing option exists for the larger 2017 Gates belt yet but I'm sure someone soon will CNC a smaller rear sprocket matching the wheel bolt pattern and pair it with a slightly shorter belt, and offer it as a kit.  Probably Hollywood Electrics will offer new belt gearing options soon both for higher speed and higher torque.  But make sure you have the SR motor and controller first.
