Americade 2017
« on: June 02, 2017, 10:24:31 PM »

Not technically an Electric Motorcycle Event BUT Americade begins next week in Lake George, NY.  Last year at the Painted Pony Ranch in Lake Luzerne there was a local dealer set up with a couple of Zero bikes available for demo rides.  I took out a DSR for a test spin but he also had an FXS.  I'm assuming he'll be there again this year.

Victory was also there with a couple of Empulse demo bikes, but the way they ran their program was just STUPID and I never got a chance to try one.  I don't know if Polaris will be doing any Victory demos at all since they shuttered the brand at the beginning of the year.  They MIGHT be, if nothing else but to help clear out their inventory so you never know.

I was thinking about going but it doesn't work well in my schedule. Are you doing?

I'll be there all week.

Don't forget to tip your waiters.

Well here's a surprise (he says sarcastically):  It's raining here in Lake George.  It should be clearing out by midweek though.

BMW has an eScooter in their demo fleet!

To anyone attending Americade: Try going for a test ride on the C-Evolution and see if you can find out when it will be arriving at US dealers and what is the MSRP.

Any reports?

It's like flying, but with more traction.  And none of that Z-axis complexity.

Lost my faith in Zero with my 2011 S, but regained it with my 2014 SR.  Diginow SCv2 changed my SR from a fun ride to primary transport.

2014 Zero SR, accessorized. 2008 Vectrix VX-1 NiMH. 2001 Honda Helix.
