Just a short note to introduce myself :-)
I live on Vancouver Island off the west coast of Canada, and work as an Energy Management consultant and contractor.
A lifelong motorcyclist, I am also a Journeyman Motorcycle Mechanic. I have a couple of Ducatis and a Triumph.
I have been an EV enthusiast for many years; back in 2006 I bought a Chevy S10 pickup truck that had been professionally converted to electric drive (24 golf cart batteries and a forklift motor), which became my daily driver for nearly 4 years (pic attached).
I had a Stealth Bomber electric bike for a while, which I recently upgraded to a Sunahme XC (pic attached).
Just about a week ago, I came across an opportunity to buy a 2011 Zero DS, which has a destroyed frame (steering head cut off), but is otherwise intact and undamaged. My plan is to build a kick-ass electric recumbent trike out of it, which is how I ended up here!
Looking forward to doing some reading and sharing ideas...
