Basic Zero electric Diagram sketch
« on: December 17, 2016, 12:55:27 AM »

Hello guys,

I have a '15 SR and I am adventuring now in building an external charger (thanks to Neil for his help) on a budget using the aux charge port.
I am pretty new to EV and I have some questions on how things are connected on the motorcycle.
What I am looking is a sketch showing how the big players (Motor, Controller, Battery, BMS, aux charge port with fuse, contactor, etc...) are connected.
I am not looking to a complicated electric diagram, just a general sketch showing the important connection.
My plan is to start with a basic external charger connect to the aux charge port, without any feedback from the BMS and getting into more interesting
features later on.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Giacomo

You'll want to start with Burton's schematic, and generally with the unofficial manual.

Hi everyone,

i use 2 Meanwell 2000 in series as extern charger without communication with BMS and it works fine .

Hollywood Electrics sell Elcon 2500 charger with communication with BMS. This is the white wire  near the red connector on the anderson connector, i think it go to the pin 38.

Is anyone can tell me what is function exactly ?

Thanks.
