Energica Eva test ride (July 2016)
« on: August 24, 2016, 08:22:45 PM »

Here is video of my test ride on the Energica Eva on July 14, 2016.  Davide took me on a tour slicing through traffic all the way down to Alice's Restaurant.  He definitely did not abide by the guidelines of lane splitting that I am familiar with (below 50mph and within 15mph of surrounding traffic), but I got the bike up to 115mph and got a good feel for it in the canyons near Alice's.

For a few more details of this epic 6-hour test ride (and the full story that people on this forum will be interested in) check out this video at the 9:45 mark.

nice, thanks for your videos! This are really great bikes. Heavier, kind of bigger, looks really nice and a little stronger, exactly my taste. If the price difference to the SR wouldn't been as big, i would have definetly considered to buy an eva. But for now I am happy with the SR.

With how much kw can your charge this bikes with level3?

I'm jealous of all your test rides. It's hard enough to try out a Zero over here in the UK!

They took some time to set up & it helps that I write for GreenCarReports.com.  Couldn't get on a Lightning or a Lito Sora because our schedules didn't work out.  But riding both the Redshift and Eva on the same day was awesome!

And then we have this fun video.  But it is kind of hard to see who wins the drag races.   ???

So, I watched the videos but I never heard any comparisons with your Zero. Are both the Eva and the Ego quicker than the SR? They are more powerful but heavier. I know they are both faster but how about mid-range (say 30-70 mph) roll-on? How do they stack up?

One is 16,000 dollars, the other 34,000...... do you really need any more of a comparison? The only things the Eva has going for it (in my opinion) are aesthetics and CCS quick charging. Totally not worth an extra 18,000 dollars. Oh, and the Eva has a chain too, so you get the lovely joy of chain maintenance that everyone loves.

Uh, yes. The question is about relative acceleration, not price or value.
