Zero 10th Anniversary Reunion
« on: July 21, 2016, 06:58:18 AM »

I assume all owners got an invitation to the Zero 10th Anniversary Reunion on September 10th like I did.

So who's going? I'm gonna try to go but haven't RSVP yet. If I do go I would like to bring my bike which would mean putting it in a van since I won't be able to take enough time off work to make the trip on my bike.

I'm going, probably along with a good number of other Bay Area / Monterey riders. I'll bring my DSR and the 13DS will likely be there getting its battery upgraded (because my insurance-paid repairs are dragging on for months now). If you make a trip halfway across the country, that would be quite something!

I plan to go but I will be riding my BMW as it is just too far to travel on my Zero and still be able to return home.

Wow 10th Sept? I'd love to ride on my DSR, though 400 miles of riding in each direction is no joke. Also, I'll be in the middle of a desert that week volunteering for a festival. Maybe I can find a way...

I assumed charging will be available? I'm thinking about going, but only if I can come back!  ;)

Yeah, Zero offers plenty of free charging to customers. J and 50A plugs.

I'm in Oakland, might be able to help those from the Sacramento etc areas with my Elcon extra charger.

I am going, but since I live in Seattle I will be tossing my gear in a duffle bag and renting a car. Hopefully will get some time on some of the 2016 bikes to make it worth while!

I wish I could rent a bike!

I'm planning to attend, riding up from San Diego, starting in the morning on the 9th.  Anyone else planning to come up from the south and want to meet up along the way?  I'll be only charging at ~2.9kw along the way...

Well, I finally worked out all the details and I will be attending the event but I just couldn't get enough time off to bring my bike (riding it or hauling it).  I'll be flying in tomorrow and leaving on Sunday and staying in Santa Cruz Friday and Saturday night.  I'm looking forward to checking out Zero HQ, riding Zero's in CA, hearing from Terry and others and meeting some forum members in person!

Glad you can make it! This gives me an idea: should we try to meet Friday night in Santa Cruz with beer and food? Same for Saturday...

Absolutely!  My flight won't get in until 7p on Friday so too late for food (by the time I get a car etc.) but not for a beer  ;D  I leave it to the locals for time and place.

Let's start with Woodstock's Pizza as a meeting point: http://woodstockscruz.com/

Food is probably available until 10. I'm 70 miles away so don't have the easy ability to coordinate onsite but can try to show up and hold down a table early enough.

Perfect! It's within walking distance of my hotel!  It looks awesome too...I might have to eat something there...

I'm flying in to San Jose so I should be able to make it by 8 or 8:30 although I don't know what traffic will be like.
