No winglets for MotoGP
« on: June 26, 2016, 06:41:41 AM »

It is a mystery to me why racing bodies can't stand innovation.  Some manufacturers, such as Ducati, discovered that aerodynamic winglets improved handling and speed, so apparently they need to be banned.   ??? Can't have anything that improves performance and efficiency. That just wouldn't be fair.   ::)

You havent followed this closely, have you?

1. they're getting downright dangerous. someone will get gashed. at the very least, someone will get hooked when riding close.

2. they dont generate downforce as much as disrupt the air of the bike trying to draft behind them.
