« on: September 23, 2009, 12:44:52 PM »

hey i want to run my bike off solar power and im a lil confused on the necessary solar panel i would need to charge it is there anyone who would know wat it would be this is all theoretical since i dont actually have the bike yet but its supposed to be 72V using hopefully lithium batteries. So any help with that would be great thanks

theres been a few posts on this elsewhere in the site, search 'solar' should help you out, same for sprokets and chains, if you still have specific questions post away!

yeah, best to search first, then ask, because like you, many have had the same types of questions.

What you don't find here, elmoto.net will have you covered.

For solar, you need to know how many watts your charger uses, then chose solar cells that are large enough to supply that wattage and then get an inverter to supply the charger.
