http://www.coroflot.com/public/individual_file.asp?individual_id=225157&portfolio_id=2708254&

Specs:
3-phase AC induction motor
105ftlbs torque
46hp
top speed 80 mph estimated
60 mile range per charge estimated
24 40Ah LiFePO4 batteries in series, 80V
6 hours charge time on 120VAC

Looks like an AC motor (http://hiperformancegolfcars.com/) from Electric Motorsport or Thunderstruck with a 300A curtis AC controller. (http://www.electricmotorsport.com/store/ems_ev_parts_motors_ac-induction.php)

In order to get that 46hp and 105ftlbs from the motor he used, he would have had to put more batteries (30-32) and have gotten the 500A curtis controller.

target price? I think it was just a conversion .... guy did it for his final project in college.

I think Skadamo and I got him some interviews by posting everywhere we could :)

yeah, found that misleading.... I mean he designed it to be reproduceable .... so maybe we'll see more from him in the future?

'FAIL' points for no rider gear other than a helmet. WIN ponts for a cool concept.

Wish there was more info on the conversion and less on the body work.  (There's another vid on a different site).  What equipment does he have under the fairings?  What electrical work had to go into the LED's?

Very cool.  And very good looking.  Maybe a little too "spacey" for my taste.

So the half-naked android babe...  That's going to be packaged with the bike, right?  Haha.  College kids in basements...
