Rear shock adjustment - 2014 DS
« on: January 18, 2016, 03:33:04 AM »

So c'mon....

Someone out there must have found a way or a tool to actually get to the rear shock spring preload adjustment collar surely?

It just doesn't feel right using a long punch, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to make a tool work in that tight space.

And while I'm here, what's the simplest decent way to get the rear shock out? Looks like to controller has to be moved to access the bolts

I used a hammer and punch.   ::)  Worked for me.   ;)

I had mine jacked up and than you can do it all by hand unless you want a low rider Zero.

Yeah well, I've got almost all those tools and I can't get them to work right; just no room to get any purchase or movement except a tenth of a turn or so. Yep, made a centre jack so I can unload the back end. Yep, went to my local bike shop, he brought out a whole pile of different ones and couldn't get any to work any better and suggested a hammer and punch.
