And yet, no one has yet tried manufacturing and marketing a production electric cruiser.   ??? You would think that there is a wide open market that someone could step into - such as Victory.  How about an electric Indian?  I bet a catchy name could be found for such a model.  ;)

I wouldn't be surprised if the Zero guys have already thought about making a bobber/chopper style bike, they are probably in the best position to do it right now. They might not not want to do a hard-tail though. One draw back would be the limited space, being a low-rider, especially if you want forward controls, which limits the width. A bobber would probably only be suitable for short rides around town, or to the next charge station, which would be okay if you like coffee. :)

I would love to see a full up ride review on this. With a 33.7 kWh battery and 280 mile city/210 mile highway range you could do some high mileage days on this bike. I emailed them and they can have a CHAdeMO system for it.  It is definitely a full size cruiser at 886 pounds. Wonder what 277 ft lbs of torque is like on a bike that heavy. But BCC is a small custom bike builder in Nevada so not likely to ever go into high volume production. My perception is BCC really doesn't want a high volume business. A test of the V9 in a major magazine would do wonders for interest in this bike but most people even in the EV world have never heard of them.

ultrarnr, I am aware of the Brutus but that bike seems to be very low-volume, hand-built, and so expensive that it puts the vehicle at the very upper end of the marketplace.  Someone needs to build an electric cruiser in the under $20,000 price range that would be more accessible to the general cruiser customer and more likely to be seen on the street.

What I have seen with the charging speed of the Energica, a cruiser doesn't need 33kwh of battery anymore. I think 17kwh is the sweetspot for any motorcycle as long as it has DC fast charging.
In The Netherlands the charging infrastructure is so good that you won't need anything more than that.
