How easy is it to remove the side rack system?
« on: April 27, 2015, 07:07:30 PM »

I just ordered the DS and the side rack system (I don't have these yet). This system seems to be fixed on the bike. How easy/difficult is it to remove this system from the bike and get it back when needed?

Ask your dealer for specifics.
I believe they are comp'ed 1-2 hours to do the installation.

There are more pieces than you would expect to the side rack system.
I would also ask the dealer for a copy of the side rack assembly drawing.

There used to be a FAQ page on the Zero webpage.
Apparently that has been taken down.
Too bad because there was some good info there not easily found elsewhere.
And support techs were encouraged to submit info for inclusion.
The side rack assembly drawing would be a perfect example.
