Too cold to charge? I think not ...
« on: February 19, 2015, 08:14:21 PM »

Since my OBDII to usb is working ... well for everything but the big dumps anyway, I figured when I plugged the bike in this morning after my commute in 14 F degree weather if it didn't start charging I would check it out.

Saved the session information for bms and status. If there are any other commands I should be looking at let me know. The controller temp was 45 F all the way into work. Seems the lowest temp read in the dump below was 9 C which happens to be 45 as well.

When I walked away from the bike after having it plugged in and turned off for at least 8 minutes it still wasn't charging yet.

Same here with a xu 2014:
After drive at -4C, i plugged it to charge: the green charging light flashed once then went dark. After 15min still no charging light flashing.
I unplugged the bike and next day: normal behaviour.

Maybe its also a moisture issue since it was snowing.

I sent the logs and a question to zero but did not get an answer. Anyway the bike is functional and i am happy with my xu.

The chargers command can be informative.
