The Project Livewire has finished touring the U.S. and Autoblog went for one last spin and considers what the future holds for an electric Harley.

I found it interesting that the article mentions that H-D is advertizing for a couple of EV engineers.  They may have had Mission Motorcycles help with the design of the LiveWire, but it sounds like they would prefer to perform further work in-house - which makes sense for any automotive manufacturer who wants to be part of the EV future.

I also note that the author says that the Zero SR pulls harder than the LiveWire.

Richard230:
This article by Autoblog is interesting in that it leads off with a photo of the LiveWire and contains a few comments from H-D's new CEO, Matt Levatich regarding the LiveWire program - which still doesn't sound like it has found a permanent home at H-D.  Levatich also should get along well with politicians as he seems to speak their language.  I am still trying to understand what he said.   ???   ::)

I think he knows there's not much of a future for electric at Harley. Look at Buell and the V-Rod and see how the "Harley faithful" have treated anything new.

They're kind of boxed in regarding new technologies (including electric) and HD upper management knows it.

For god's sake, they're having trouble adopting something as basic as water cooling!
