+12V access on Zero SR?
« on: January 04, 2015, 01:00:11 PM »

See 2-wire (black/blue) connector near center of the attached pic. This is under the "tank" cover, but also semi-accessible from the front near the horn.
Is this the right spot to add +12V accessories on a Zero SR (specifically 2015 model)? Is this fused? If it's for accessories, I presume it is fuse #4 under the seat?

thanks,
Jeremy

Hi Jeremy,

The 2015 & 2014 bikes (all models) have two accessory "ports" for 12V access; they are on the same fuse under the seat at 10A total. The second accessory port (grey Sumitomo connector with black cap) is for the 12V power outlet accessory below the dash.

Sorry for the grave digging but is there a part number for these connectors?

Yes and it is fused. I have connected my onboard 12V outlet to this connector

Where is the secondary one located? Do I need to remove the tank cover?
