Is there any video of a Empulse at top speed out there ?
I think on one of the usal GoPro onboard videos people make  :)

The specs says 177 km/h./110 mph. but is it without getting to hot in any way ?

I can't recall anyone saying that they hit 110 mph on their Empulse.  I think 102 mph is more typical on level ground.  Of course, that still beats Zero by almost 10 mph and a change in final drive gearing might boost the Empulse's top speed.

I don't think there's much improvement in top speed by changing the gearing.

6th gear is approximately 17.4 mph per 1000 RPM, at 110 mph it is turning at 6300 RPM or just slightly over power and efficiency peak. It might be possible to bump it another couple of mph by installing a smaller rear sprocket.

Here's a rider (who should know better) hitting 104 mph chasing a GSX-R 750 on public roads.
