Would love an electrified GrassHopper
« on: August 24, 2014, 06:57:14 PM »

Hey guys, I know this is an electric motorcycle forum but I love the community here and just wanted to discuss about a possibly not real project but would like project to turn electric my lawn mower tractor.

It's a GrassHopper 614T 1997 (not sure about year). The 50 HP Zero motor would be plenty enough. I'm not sure though about the battery requirement, I would need to last 2 hours ideally. I also have the snowblower with it.

An E-Mower Rider is my list as a project too. I have a golf cart engine with differential tucked in the garage. I  have been watching for a suitable frame. I "planned" on using an engine per blade. I have an acre so only need about an hour of runtime.

The weight on the back is important on a GrassHopper. I wonder how much batteries I would be able to put to match the weight of the actual motor.
