BikeMaster tire repair kit fits perfectly under seat!
« on: July 21, 2014, 09:11:14 AM »

This kit has a really good number of tools to repair a flat tire on the fly! I now always have it under the seat and I have a 5mm allen wrench in the front storage compartment to take the seat off. $30 is cheap for peace of mind!

Also up for discussion: What other tools do you have on the bike at all times?

For me, none; but I'm going to put together a toolkit for the bike in the near future!

I carry one in the swing arm tube. Seems to stay there with no problems.

Being a long-time BMW motorcycle owner, I just keep my credit card handy.  It is the perfect BMW motorcycle tool kit.   ::)   No doubt it will work for Zero's too.   ;)

Too funny.  I have the same kit in the same location.  Sadly I already picked up a nail in the rear tire and had to use a plug.  Other items onboard;
  • extension cord
  • bike multitool
  • tire gauge
  • small cable to attach helmet to the tank bag lock
  • sunscreen
  • water
  • visor cleaning supplies
  • rain gear (depending on forecast)
I feel like I need to find a small shade/rain cover for the bike as well since it spends all day in the parking lot exposed to the elements.

A nail... lol.. that also happened to me last week on the rear tire of my 2012 S...

I bought a new tire since the original tire was pretty used and had a flattened center due to excessive dyno testing...

The new tire I bought is a Kenda Cruiser 671. it's 140 x 70 x 17.

I had to hammer a bit the tubular link of the two arms of the swing arm to clear the tire diameter and keep about 1/4" clearance.
