I think folks from Zero will hear about the Things on this forum.
Only time will show if the batteries and motor will last for 100K miles

I know dealers do. I'm from Douglas Motorcycles in San Bernardino...we took on Zero about 5 months ago. We're pretty excited about the latest bikes from Zero.

aaronzeromoto is from zero, he often join discussion and give advice, as with all members its only personal opinion, most members here are very knowledgeable or willing to learn and willing to share info.

I think any manufacture would be crazy not to keep a  eye on these forums and learn what the issues and want of their customers are. I have noticed that zero has fixed many issues that a model may have in the next model release.

My understanding is that BMW factory employees are told that if they read any forum posts they will go blind.   ::)

Personally, I think forward thinking manufacturers who don't think traditionally would be best served by having official representatives in the bigger forums. I know many years ago, 2 CEO back, Ducati had a team of 5 people who "lived" on the forums, representing their brand. BMW look into 4 or 5 big forums and join conversations but nothing like Ducati used to do.

Having an official representative of the manufacturer is not only great PR, but also a feedback channel. The green-field companies like Zero, Brammo, Mission etc have a great opportunity to start a good practise.

I asked this question of a Zero employee when I was in Scotts Valley a couple of months ago. He told me, unfortunately, that they are highly discouraged from getting involved in any forum discussions.

The truth of the matter is that this is a User Forum and not a Zero Motorcycles Forum.  At some point in the future, we want to have an online home for our owners, but we can't commandeer this forum for our own purposes. For example, I don't post new accessory offerings on the forums as it would be spam-like advertisement.

As a vehicle manufacturer, we also have restrictions on the things we can do or say that don't apply to the enthusiast. As another example, I see posts of different top boxes people are using. We would only comment on the specific ones we have tested and approved for use, which we also offer for sale.  We can't test them all.

I can tell you that many people read these forums carefully and do our best to respond to the things we learn from all of you.

Regards,

This sounds like a great idea - how about www.myzero.com - I just checked; the domain name is available  :-)
