2013 Zero S review by Bike Bandit

The on-line motorcycle accessory store, Bike Bandit, has published a general review of the 2013 Zero S written by Aaron Cortez describing his first ride on an electric motorcycle.  The article doesn't really provide all that much information about the Zero but it does provide some interesting and positive comments about riding electric from a long-time ICE motorcycle owner.

Great review based on feeling, it was well described, I wouldn't have done it better.

The "toy or transportation" section sort of gets under my skin. It's too bad he can't review it after living with it for a month or even a year.

He kept mentioning "combustion engines". I've never seen a steam driven motorcycle.

Yep, me too.   I use my Zero as transportation.  I ride on nice days when the motorcycle lot at work is full, and on shitty days when I'm the only one.  And for daily transport (5 miles here, 8 miles there, another 12 miles home) an e-moto is the only way to go!

However, the truth is, almost all non-riders and most riders view motorcycles as recreational vehicles (toys).   Zero sees that too, and gone is the XU.  The 2014 lineup is truly awesome - but at a price.

I really like the paragraph regarding "one with the road".  Couldn't agree more.
