Wonder why your luck with this is so bad. I've never had that issue, and just about to turn 56k miles on mine.
Replaced the first belt at 26k, second at 48k. Third belt is fine. I use on average one full throttle application per ride, and many more that aren't quite full throttle but close.
Are you installing and tending these belts yourself, or does a shop do it?

An article in my newspaper today reports that California will invest $500 million in zero-emission school buses across the state. This will allow the state's school districts to purchase 1,000 "clean" vehicles, which will be added to the 1,100 zero-emission school buses that are currently in use in the state, according to the article written by Kristin J. Bender and published by the bayareanewsgroup.com.

I imagine that at some point in the future when they are worn out, a lot of these vehicles will be sold to private citizens, or more likely sold in lots and put on the auction block.

To be fair this was the 2nd hand belt that Davant Bikes fobbed me off with when I ordered a new one. Won't be dealing with them again. So who knows how old it really was.

...and frankly I've had enough. I've now spent all the savings I've made on petrol on fucking belts.

The internet is awash with similar tales and I really can't condone the SR/F now for the one thing it's really good at, which is commuting, because you can't reliably get to your destination.

However... I did see someone post on Facebook that they'd managed to convert the SR/F to using the wider DSR/X belt and sprockets. The DSR/X belt is 25mm wide as opposed to 20mm wide, so I'm guessing it's at least 25% stronger. It's got a slotted rear sprocket but that's not so much interest to me as I don't off-road.

Does anyone know if this conversion is indeed as simple as it sounds?

Cas :)
When did you buy the last belt that broke?  I recall hearing something somewhere about a bad batch of SR/F belts around four years ago or so.  Fairly new belts were breaking, even during test drives at dealers:

But of course, no Magic Dock so most EVs cannot use them.

The Magic Dock isn't magic; it's simply an adapter.  You can get your own; I use one regularly.

Just building new chargers is not a solution without a strong maintenance incentive. All those shiny new Electrify America chargers seemed like a great solution a few years ago until they started falling apart.

I said Supercharger, not EA.  That's the exact problem between Phoenix and Tucson; EA.

When I first heard about the new contract between Wal*Mart & EA, I assumed it meant chargers at every WM location.

But they did the same nonsense as everybody else. Put them everywhere except for where needed the most.

For example, Susanville, CA  has a Walmart. No CCS  there or anywhere near there.

They do have 250 KW V3 chargers near there at the casino.  But of course, no Magic Dock so most EVs cannot use them.

And NV has a big shortage of WORKING CCS outside of the larger cities.  Broken ones all over, that worked well five years ago that do not work at all today. I could ride to more places five years ago on my small battery SS9 than I can today on my larger battery Experia.

So of course, not even one Magic Dock in the entire state of Nevada.

BTW, OTOH, there is one nice needed location that I know of with Magic Dock. Jackson, CA.  I used it on my Enegica Experia last week. Charged up at 20 KW.

Being solved, there's a brand-agnostic Supercharger going up there.  You can always pick and choose locations with no charging, but that's being solved.

Tucson to Phoenix is kind of a mess, but also being solved as we speak.

Pictures of newspapers? WTF

Charging is pretty well solved, or being solved. Very quickly.
For Tesla. But try going north of Reno needing CCS when on Hwy395.
