Here is an article regarding the Super Soco electric motorcycle. I thought it looked fairly nice and I did like that the company apparently doesn't inflate its performance or range estimates. I have to admit, it ticks most of the boxes without adding bells and whistles. There is only one problem:
Max Speed 28Mph or 45kmh
Probably because of this:
Do I need a license to ride a Super Soco on UK public roads?
You must have a valid provisional or full driving licence covering mopeds or motorcycles to ride Super Socos.
Generally, if you passed your (car) driving test before 1 February 2001 you can ride a Super Soco without further training or L plates, although it is a good idea to obtain some training prior to riding.
If you have a provisional moped licence or passed your car driving test later than 1 February 2001 then you are required to pass your Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) and you must display L plates until you qualify for a full licence. Provisional entitlement with CBT is valid for two years after which CBT must be retaken.

I have a Super Soco that is a fun bike to ride but only goes 40mph. Circumstances have me waiting for the 2018 Zero SR. Didn't want to lose a year of riding though so got the Soco.

Could be good around town, should qualify as a scooter, in Colorado no tags and park on the sidewalk.

It is good around town where speed limits don't exceed 40mph. It honestly just makes me want a Zero even more! I've been on this site for a while and each year I think it's my year to get a Zero but unfortunately it doesn't happen. 2018 is definitely my year! Good things come to those who wait and boy have I been waiting.

I have heard it can be done, i.e. get up to 42mph rather than the limited 28mph...

You have to have kick stand down turn throttle back while holding both right and left brakes. Have someone hit the start button to turn it on while doing the above step. Hold throttle and brakes for ten seconds. Release throttle after ten seconds but keep brakes squeezed in. Then turn throttle in again for ten seconds while continuing to hold the brakes in. Then release everything. That should do it, that's how I did mine.
I have some riding videos of the Super Soco on YouTube if you'd like to check them out, under my forum name.

Although I have yet to try it, apparently if you follow the above steps it will reset the speed limiter back to 28mph max speed.

The LCD back light doesn't change automatically on my SOCO, it's fixed on max which is disturbing at night.
I've tried the foot stand up, flash headlight 3 times, wait and then toggle the parking mode button with +2 second pauses, but nothing happens. Only keep changing between mph and km/h if I press the parking mode button to fast.
Any ideas, anyone?
