I went through a puddle on a trail on my way home from work yesterday I call it a puddle but it had a deep rut which was unavoidable and unexpected, I noticed that the warning light was rapidly flashing about 5 times in one second but everything worked normally, when I got home I rinsed the rims and brakes off then I wiped the seat down and a few areas with a damp cloth, the blinking persisted so I air blew the fast charge plug and any possible area around it, still blinking, I then used contact cleaner, still blinking, I then ran my leaf blower (slow speed) for an extended time, still blinking, so I left it in the sun, then a quick hard rain hit, now I have it in the garage with a fan pointed on it because after the rain the 12 volt side stayed powered up, eventually the warning blinking stopped but it's been 24hrs with the 12 v side powered, I've pulled all the fuses, blown out the ignition switch and any areas, any constructive ideas would be appreciated, ps keying the bike on and off does open and close the contactor

Perhaps it was not the water but the sharp bump that is causing your problem. Maybe the hit that your bike took dislodged a connector somewhere?

I more "slid down " into the rut, it was a little greasy but not unexpected and quite gentle, as I was in the rut and not wanting a soaker I just rode it out, it got a lot deeper than I anticipated but I rode it through and came out fine, the fast blinking of the warning light has stopped now but I still have constant power on the 12 v side of the bike (which occurred after the rain) I may just wait it out with the fuses pulled and see what happens

That's quite strange you have 12Vdc powered on with no key! I would like to know how I could activate this "feature".

Unfortunately the headlights and dash won't shut down either without pulling the fuses

So I've got the dc to dc converter exposed and acces to the loosely fitted pins . I definitely have 12 v power out of the converter with the bike in the off position, if I remove the enable wire to the converter it shuts off, so I'm not jumping the gun yet but I believe from burtons wiring diagram the enable is supplied by the mbb (thanks burton), I have further testing to do but so far I can't explain why the dc/dc is getting an enable signal

as an update (i thought i had posted here but it was in another thread), constant power coming from the converter with the power (key) off, after talking to both zero and sevcon it appears that my dc/dc converter has failed to the "on" position, they speculate it has welded shut internally, i have temporarily rigged up a switch on the monolith battery negative/input side to the converter until i get off my ass and get a new one, just for reference the five pins are as follows -neg out (12v neg) , +out (12v pos) (actual voltage measured is 13.5v output) , -in (monolith neg always present 116v) , +in (monolith positive always present 116v) and the enable pin supplied by the mbb (monolith pos at 116v with the key on) ps if anyone has a sevcon dc/dc converter they dont need part# 622/11202 i would be interested in buying it pm me

Just have had same situation, after 200miles in rain. 12v is on at times of at other times. No indicators No light No regen. I just dont like it.
Have had to take the tankplastics of and hose clean the connectors (assembled) and the top of the brick, and voila 12v is back again.
Wonder for How long.

Warning light flashing quickly, staying off for a second or two followed by more flashes (etc) is a low insolation warning.
The green run light will do this as well if the isolation goes lower.
It's usually not very serious by itself.

justin- the warning light was definitely an isolation error which was corrected with the fan blowing on the anderson (aux charge port) connector for an hour or so
skoleskibe- check the fuse out of the left side of the top of the monolith (box at the top rear attached to the monolith) i believe this is the 116v supply to the mbb for the enable signal, (mine is the 2016 13kw) battery so it might be the connection in the fuse holder which was kind of dirty and not sealed well on my bike, this could be the cause of intermittent non functioning, or your sevcon could be acting up, evdrives has them for $200 us if you are out of warranty

Actually that is the dc/dc that comes in the earlier zeros, mine (2013) has the 80 volt as well, not sure about 2014 and up

It was not the low volt fuse. ;-/
Today my dealer called me and told me that they will change the DC DC converter. Yay.

After some weeks at the dealers, they called me today, the fault has been moisture ingress in some of the connectors. They’ve had it at the importers shop for diagnostics, as the bike went hyswire after mounting a new DC DC converter. Which connector was the culprit they could not tell me. So they’ve had all the connectors disconnected and (hopefully) cleaned and protected with liberal amounts of dielectric grease.
Hope it never happens again, it took the best part of 6 weeks.
What do you guys’n gal’s do to avoid moisture F.....g up your bikes when ridning in the rainy season ( in Denmark january to december)
