We did our first race at Brok McAllister's Supermoto USA round 6 event in Sacramento yesterday and it was a good day!. The rider, fellow Alta teammate Kevin Butler did an exceptional job, quickly learning the ropes of supermoto and taking top honors in the 250 class by a wide margin, This was an amazing result and we were happy and a little surprised We knew the the slick , wet, racing conditions would favor our bike with it's enhanced control so we took the risk of also entering the "Unlimited Pro" class. This is the premier class and it's dominated by built 450's and the best regional riders , we had less power but more control and that was a competitive combination. Kevin had to start in the back row because he had no standing in the series this being his first supermoto race but he was able to work his way through the field , passing 9 other riders to finish in second place - this on a 250 equivalent bike, in it's first race!. A special thanks to Dale Lineaweaver and Chad Redmond for all the hard work on race prep and tuning and to the whole Alta Motors team for an outstanding debut. Last, an especially big thanks to Kevin Butler for a set of great rides and for showing us what's possible.
