I'm planning for my first 240(ish) mile round trip on my 2013 Zero-S in mid July.
That's a run from Lutterworth to Tretower in Wales and back.
In order to do this, I'm ordering a Elcon charger from Hollywood Electrics, and a Mennekes Type 2 adapter. Its not a Terry style trip by any stretch of the imagination, however this will be my very first run outside the range of a single charge that I'll have done.
Quite excited.

One of the lucky few in the UK to own a Zero. Do you already know where you're gonna charge?

Good luck and have a great trip!
I'm planning my own 4-5,000km summer trip and it's very exciting! Planning ahead is obviously important.
Give yourself extra time to find the chargers and set up your charging system. There always seems to be something that comes up that takes up your time.

The first time you take your Zero past the "point of no return" is definitely an exciting one! Once you realize you can no longer just turn around and make it home without charging you are taking your electric motorcycle riding to the next level. In the US, Plugshare is the best app for locating charging stations. If the charger you are going to charge at is commonly used it isn't very stressful. But if you need to use a charger that no one has checked in at for over a year or two and there are no other options close by that can be REALLY exciting!

Yep, I was planning at charging at Stratford and Hereford, with emergency charging locations sketched out on the route between stops (in case of charger post failure)

A quick look at plugshare shows a decent amount on chargers in that area.
