I made a map with Zeemaps that allows users to add their electric motorcycle to a worldwide map of other riders:
https://www.zeemaps.com/map?group=939336
Go to the link above, click "add" and enter your information. I hope people put their email so other users can contact them.
Enjoy!

We need more Zero owners!
Come on guys!
www.evfr.net (http://www.evfr.net)
-
Added mine.
-
Done.

Added mine
-
Thanks guys! Made it so you don't need a key typed in to add, and I'm only barely moderating (deleting duplicates, adding requested info, stuff like that).
I appreciate people adding their info. If you can, go back and add more about your vehicle and yourself.
-
I tried editing my post, but it just brought me back to the map. I used the link that the site posted when first making my entry, but it doesn't seem to work.
Let me know if there is a secret... or obvious thing I need to do to edit my entry.
Thanks for making the map! I plan to visit some people up and down the East Coast this summer!
-
I think as long as you use the same browser/computer you should be fine.
Go to the map, click on your name, and it will bring up your profile to edit.
-
When I click my name it just shows me the information I already entered. No option to edit.
Also, this map would have been amazing to have on the Ride the Future Tour last year! I could have stopped by Ben Myburgh in Murfreesboro, TN when I charged up at the Old Fort Road park!
-
Click on your name inside the bubble that pops up.... Not the name on the side. I just tested it and it worked for me.
I can edit if you email me at the email displayed above the map.
-
Nice map. It looks like the U.S. west coast is the hotbed of electric motorcycle owners, so far. :)
-
We're almost at 50 people in just a few days! Nice work!
Keep adding if ya got em!
-
Just added myself to the list, too. Looking forward to seeing more electric bikes in Canada!
-
I added mine!
-
To all who want to edit:
Go to www.evfr.net and Open your bubble.... Click on your name at the top of the bubble (not on the side legend) and if you're using the same browser and computer (and you haven't cleared your cookies lately) you can edit.
If not... Email me. I can remove your location and you can do it over.
To all:
When you add a location.... There's a little link it gives you at the end. If you save that somewhere you can easily come back to edit.
The fact that you... On xxxx computer and yyyy location uploaded a location is saved in your browser's cookies. If you return.... You can edit it, but no one else's.
If you clear cookies or use a different browser.... Then you have to email the admin... Listed at the top of my website.

BUMP!
-
The Electric Motorcycle Owners Map has hit the big time. I just found this article by Mike Werner on the BMW forum that I frequent:
http://news.motorbiker.org/blogs.nsf/dx/electric-motorcycles-find-out-where-they-are---owner-map.htm (http://news.motorbiker.org/blogs.nsf/dx/electric-motorcycles-find-out-where-they-are---owner-map.htm)
-
HELL YES!!!!
Time to get a real domain name then!
will start a new thread!
-
It's great to have an idea of where the electric motorcyclists live. I'd generally still announce group events on forums rather than by email to individuals as the map suggests, since forums have the advantage of being editable in-place and publicly visible, and emailing individuals without a prior relationship might be seen as intrusive; hence my separate thread on establishing a single forum for this purpose.
-
Bump!
Add yourself to the map!

The last I saw of Matt, he was off to MIT to get a doctorate in Computer Science and his Zero wasn't running all that well. I haven't heard from him since.
-
Sorry, It was a thread bump, not a reply to Matt.
Just Wanted to let some of the new users know about it, since the thread was over 120 days old.
-
Added my Zero S.
-
Added my SR but I didn't see it on the list. Do we get vetted?
Edit:
I'm at the end of the Brammo list! What did I do wrong? I'm sure I entered Zero SR.
2nd edit:
I tried again and it put me in the right place this time. Please take me off the Brammo list.
-
Use the email listed on the map to email me and I can help.

Cool. I created a similar map for Australia with charging locations - not fast charging just regular spite Zero owners can get a top up, many locations are Zero owners. https://www.zeemaps.com/map?group=1177834

Why are those not on plugshare?

There are so many solar companies in Australia promoting Zero or own Zero bikes, Zero really needs be considering selling via Solar companies.
traditional motorcycle dealers are just not interested and see it as a threat.
Solar already understand high voltage power control and storage and inverters, they be qualified for electrical work.
the mechanical side of the zero is simple.
No charging at Zero dealer at Nerang QLD. ?
-
It's not on plugshare only because I didn't know about its existence when I created it, but I hope to migrate soon. Other reason is that as a zero tragic and solar guy, I wanted to specially connect the dots. I agree completely that solar dealers get it and have been helping to promote the brand to solar companies, I think it makes sense and have told zero so many times; early adopters of solar and storage are just the kind of people who might early adopt a zero in my head anyway!
-
Hey guys!
We have 223 electric motorcycle owners on the map now, but I'd like to see more!
Also, I changed my domain to http://excessive.engineering (http://excessive.engineering) but it redirects from my old evfr.net domain and there's now a top menu that goes to the map.
Lets get to 300!
-
I didn't knew there was a .engineering top level domain, that quite neat.
-
Added mine. Israel is on the map!
-
Picked up my '15 Zero SR yesterday! I'm on the map baby! lol
-
I don't think that ICE dealers are afraid of the electrics, at least not at this time. I believe that they don't feel that the investment of time, energy, and, funds are justified.
The dealer in Vegas who sold ( don't sell them any more ) Zero is great. They sell everything with wheels. They have great customer service. They are used to someone walking
in and asking for the Red one, or, the Blue one. People interested in alternatives, want a lot more information. People come in, kick the tires, ask a ton of questions, then, opt
for the Red one or the Blue one. Not something that they felt worth investing in. Similar to alternative fuel cars. One dealer will still have the only 2011 Volt that they ordered in 2010 on
the lot, while across town, the dealer can't keep them in stock. At this point, they are more of a novelty.
As far as solar dealers selling them, I would imagine an entirely different set of licenses would be needed to sell them. While the mindset would be more towards electric
vehicles, it may not be worth their resources either. Perhaps a collaboration between a vehicle dealership and a solar company. Buy from us and get a benefit from the other company.
Unfortunately, not enough people seem to have enough vision for more than one direction. The Solar company owner wants to sell as many installs as possible. While his employees
may be all out for other uses of solar, they aren't the ones with the wallet. Someone selling electric vehicles may embrace solar, but, again, not have the desire or funding to expand.

My Seattle, WA location should be deleted now, in favor of Oakland, CA, now that I've moved. Thanks!

Added my SR 2014 near Paris, FRANCE!
I see only two owners in this area, I wish I see many more!
I'm gonna give the map link to the french Zeromotorcycle facebook page!

Are people still adding to this map? I just pulled up this necro thread and added myself (Houston, TX)
-
I get a few people adding a week still, just keep posting your info on there!
-
Just added myself in Portsmouth NH. Wow, only two of us in NH!
Steve
-
Also added more Zero models recently. Haven't bothered adding any other brands until we get proof they're on the road.
-
Is there a way to edit my info? I added myself last year but I've since moved.
-
go to the map, and email me (the admin) the old marker, and the info you want updated.
If you haven't cleared browser cache, you can click on yours and edit, but it may not let you. I can easily make changes.
-
Added my SR. Looks like there is only one more SR near DC on the map, but I know there are at least 2 more Zero owners nearby - saw an FXS on the Beltway recently, and I've seen an older Zero on Wisconsin, near Friendship Heights...

Fred, ok, I admit it too. Ordered but not received yet :)
It's funny, now that I ordered the DSR (took the plunge financially) I would also like to have the FXS.
Well, I always wanted to own several bikes, but once I had three ICE bikes, I realized that it is a pain in the behind to maintain them all.
But with electric bikes, bring them on. The more the better:)

yup. i used to have 7 ICE bikes in my garage at one point. i always said it was like having a room full of jealous women, all fighting for your attention. after my neck injury i stopped riding for a long time, then i found the zero's. i sold/parted 4 bikes to buy my FXS and don't regret it for a minute. my 2 real remaining bikes, ktm 990R and 525EXC, haven't moved since i bought it.
welcome to the club.

Laramie,
Exactly, what was I thinking.
I am a licensed car mechanic, hate working on cars (don't do it for a living thank bloody hearth), and always thought no big deal serving several bikes of my own.
But I hated it at two already.
I cannot imagine what you where going through at 7.
Yes, they are all competing with each other.
And I saw myself looking more and more for alternatives in the valve train and drive train department to escape the dreadded valve adjustment, chain and sprocket mess, chain tensioning, carb synching........ahhhhhh...... what a constant pain.
And the harder you ride, the worse it feels when parking the bike, since you know you're one step closer to the work you've done 500,000 times before.
And one of the worst thing ever, since they put ethanol into every grade of gas, you either end up with clogged up jets, or dry rot your gaskets in no time when storing the bike with carbs drained.
It is flat out stupid.
Electric is the only way.
All that's done with now thanks to zero.
Wonder how much longer you're going to keep the two awesome ICEs you have left.
I do envy you for their performance, but not the rest.
Thanks for welcoming me in the club :)
-

Ethanol in fuel in one of the things that tipped me over into getting a Zero. My Aprilia Dorsoduro has a plastic tank which has swelled due to ethanol. When I had it serviced recently it took 3 people to force it back into the frame.

Fred,
everytime I rebuilt another set of carburetor wrecked by ethanol I swear like a sailor, but I should be thankful since it brings the petrol age to an end quicker by people like you and me having had enough and who are willing to shell out the bucks to advance our future technology.
Give it another 10 years and burning fuel to move from point A to point B will feel as ridiculous as using a pay phone nowadays.
I feel like a space astronaut right now gliding though my neighborhood on my zero.
It is a truly life changing experience and one I am thankful for after the frustrating EV-1 scam in the 90 where I thought that the EV era was about to start.
By the way, I had no idea that ethanol can deform an entire gas tank.
Now, I get the reasons for Ethanol in gas, but it's simply an ill faded bandaid to mitigate the harmful effects of burning our earth's liquid fossil energy.
Thanks for sharing.

We've hit 500 people as of today! That is 500 people worldwide, which is pretty cool!
Thanks for adding and keeping it all going!

I made a map with Zeemaps that allows users to add their electric motorcycle to a worldwide map of other riders:
https://www.zeemaps.com/view?group=939336&x=8.461561&y=20.545427&z=15
Go to the link above, click "add" and enter your information. I hope people put their email so other users can contact them.
Enjoy!
I just tried that link in my Firefox 52 and could not see how to add an entry. The base URL at
https://www.zeemaps.com/map?group=939336 (https://www.zeemaps.com/map?group=939336) has the navigation ribbon.

Thanks for that link Brian. #530 registered, and I have a free EV charging station right across the street from my address, at La Costa Coffee Roasting.

Carlsbad's a very good location for me; I live in El Cajon and have family in Orange County, so I come through there at least a few times a year.
Is it still there? If so, why isn't it on PlugShare? It's really easy to mark a location on PlugShare, and it's very helpful for the community...especially free locations with a nice place to take a riding break!

Added us in #585 on Kauai. Where's my other e~bike riders in the islands?

I got #667. So close.

Hi,
Is it possible to add in the box in order to indicate the new model SRF/F?
Many Thanks

I'll add that now.
Can we indicate which new models that people would like to see?
Can people let me know what other electric motorcycles they own?

What other PRODUCTION ELECTRIC MOTORCYCLES THAT ARE NOT ALREADY ON THE LEGEND AS AN OPTION would members of this forum like to see on my Electric Motorcycle Owners Map?

The map should ask for updates every 3 or so years and purge any non-respondents. A lot of these entries are from 2014 and it's hard to know if they still live in the same area, still have an EM, or still have the same contact info.

I think electric bikes should have more power in the batteries to boost the engine

I just started a FB page - Greater Sac Area Electric Motorcycles. I am not too keen on the name, but oh well.

I see the Energica Eva and Evo there; can you add the EsseEsse9?

Found out the hard way that this site doesn't accept Firefox as a browser, also having trouble with map locator. :(

Not many in my area (St. Louis, Mo) but neat to see other folks around. Added mine.

Just found this thread and added mine, 2020 SS9! The amount of customs around me in Sunnyvale is really quite amazing!!

Finally added my name as well.
Man there's like only 8 of us in a 50 mi radius or so it seems. :'(
We gonna have to do something about that!
Energica needs to open a shop here in Jax and give me a few demo bikes to ride around and show off ! ::) ;D

Fantastic map, thank you for the work. :)
Most in Europe, but one even in Indonesia, and one right in the Pacific (?), how cool.
I'll add mine when I get it.
I saw, the one who's right in the ocean, has 9kW!!?? Duh!
Do folks here mean, rated motor power, or peak power, or battery power, or what?
In any case: impressive. 8)
I hope to buy / or build (??) a 3kW battery: 72V 40Ah, would be good.
-
Anyone with an E bike in the jacksonville area, give me a heads up and I'll let you charge on my Fast charger for free. Ok it might cost you sitting around a bit sharing a cup of coffee or two, or a beer.
I can do 30 KW max charge via CCS 1, but only up to a 500 volt battery pack.
