Title: stopped at my local petrol station --- and they loved the Zero
Post by: manlytom on June 28, 2012, 04:23:19 PM
close to my place is one of the few left over independent petrol / mechanics type car workshop. I stopped to top up air ... with my spoked wheels all the time ...

the first mechanic came out of the workshop and said - is that bike electric ....
now this fill up ended being the start of my ride and good long chat -
then the owner came out and said: love your bike ... would like to see Australia move there. but as the government earns 60% per litre petrol on taxes of the selling price he explained that sadly Australia has currently no incentives going to support EVs... really sucks but he is right. Beautiful country and so far behind !

anyway they loved the bike and I rode off -- just up the road to start my days recreational ride from the spot that Charly Boorman favours in Sydney. he started BAM 2 from here.... sadly I did not have my Zero yet at that stage ...
he rode a cool DEUS MACHINA....
